The enigmatic and deadly guardian of a treasure trove known as the Money Pit. Deprived of his sanity and all senses except his hearing, Voldo's only purpose was to loyally honor his late master Vercci by eliminating intruders and thieves. One day, he hears the voice of his master telling him to seek out Soul Edge, and so Voldo sets off in search of the legendary sword his master desired in life.
vs. Kamen Rider Diend[]
As with in Voldo's character episode in the game, the Money Pit is invaded by bandits, only this time, Daiki Kaito, Kamen Rider Diend is among the thieves looting for treasures. However, when he senses Voldo's presence, Kaito transforms into Diend and battles Voldo, but Voldo's insane agility was able to outpace Kaito, forcing him to retreat.
Diend's interference in the World of Soulcalibur alarmed Narutaki and contacts Taki to confront Kaito, to which the demon huntress obliged with Narutaki's request. Treasure Sniper Diend ~A.D. 2019~
Later, Kaito, as Diend confronts Voldo, where he summons Kamen Rider Snipe and Kamen Rider Zolda to make short work of the guardian, only to be foiled by Kamen Rider Taki Futurering Volt, the ensuing confrontation chaos brought Voldo time to escape. However, Kaito barely escapes after Taki was able to defeat him.
Kaito then followed Voldo's trail all the way to Spain, where he attempts to ambush him by summoning 12 Riotroopers, only to be once again foiled by Taki, who then confronts the thief if he had any intention of seeking the cursed sword. Kaito refutes that he has no interest with Soul Edge whatsoever, and insisted that stealing treasures is his hobby, and the reason why he intends to loot around the Money Pit is that he considered its owner, Vercci as a greedy scum that do not deserve such abundant wealth, and Kaito is aware of Voldo seeking out Soul Edge and the spirit of the evil blade is manipulating Voldo into seeking it, Kaito adds that he's willing to put Voldo out of his misery to end the guardian's suffering before leaving.
Voldo confronts Diend for the final time when he enters the Money Pit, this time Taki reluctantly teaming up with him. Despite Voldo able to hold on against the summoned Kamen Rider Lupin, he is defeated by Kaito thanks to his Dimension Shoot. Mortally wounded, Voldo dies peacefully right before his master's tomb, while Kaito steals every single treasure in the Money Pit. Hell Guardian Voldo ~A.D. 1585~
After temporal anomalies in the World of Soulcalibur are fixed, it is assumed that Voldo's death has been negated, and his fate remained ambiguous.
Personality[]
Voldo is silent, sadistic, methodical, if somewhat creepy, individual who's one and only purpose is to eliminate those who attempt to steal the riches of the money pit, by any means neccessary.
Physical appearance[]
Due to his appearance, Voldo is considered as an oddity, even among the Soul series' cast. His costume has a very direct approach to the outlandish sado-masochistic slave theme which is associated with him.
Family[]
- Vercci - master, deceased

- Hightened abilities: Although Voldo is incapable of sight and speech, he relies on his senses and unpredictability to combat his opponents.

Behind the scenes[]
Portrayal[]
Voldo does not have a voice actor for he only speaks in hisses.
Notes[]
- Voldo is regarded the most creepiest character in all of Soulcalibur. Even to Taki and Daiki Kaito's standards.
- Voldo serves as the Soulcalibur foil to Diend. Voldo himself serves as the guardian to Vercci's treasure in the Money Pit; whereas Kaito attempts to steal from.
- He would also be considered an equivalent to Kamen Rider Odin as both characters are nothing more but servants that do the bidding of their masters.
- Voldo's demise by Daiki Kaito's hands is poetically ironic, as Voldo is tasked by his master to protect the Money Pit from thieves and his death allowed Kaito to steal all the treasures of the Money Pit with no repercussion.
