Theo tries to get to know Céline but he finds it's more complicated than he had imagined...

Plot

The episode continues where the previous one left off as Theo freaks out when he hears the box talk as Pekorin attempts to open it, causing it to transform into a large building. Theo is amazed by how charming it is and he runs inside to find a fully equipped kitchen; including a frightening, fluffy ghost-like figure. Though this figure turns out to be Theo's father, Danny, who had accidentally made whipped cream splatter all over himself whilst baking a cake.

After cleaning up, Danny (who is also a good friend of Pekorin) explains that the "Flavour Spark" energy within snacks is a power to make people feel happy and lively. The Snack Warriors can harness this power to bring happiness to the world; before he can finish his explanation Theo eagerly agrees to be a Snack Warrior if it means he can eat lots of snacks. He attempts to use the Sweets Pact to make a cheesecake, only to be told that he will need to make it first as the device is not like an oven.

At school, Theo is playing basketball with some classmates when he goes to take a shot for the hoop only to misstep and run headfirst into a shy girl who was reading nearby. He tries to check to see if the girl is okay but she feverishly backs away to hide behind a tree nearby. When she sees Theo holding her book she quickly runs past to grab it before heading inside. Theo is confused by what just happened as his classmates bring up how unsocial that girl is. He heads home after school to observe the mail box, where he finds a letter from his other dad, Luke; and a flyer for a sale on potato chips.

Theo changes clothing and chastises himself for forgetting as he runs into town to the grocery store. One last pack of chips is in the display case, but as he asks for it, his shy classmate from before does too. The girl panics and hides nearby and Theo backs away, allowing a little boy to step inside and purchase the snack for himself.

While they are disappointed, they are glad it was a child who got the last one as they leave the shop. Theo uses this chance to make a connection with Céline by asking if she likes potato chips, and Pekorin -from inside his bag- suggests that he make some. Theo momentarily panics until realizing he has all the means to, and he asks Céline if she knows how to make them. Céline says that she does, but points out that she has to go home to study for an upcoming exam. Theo reasons they got loads of time then, and leads her through town to gather the necessary ingredients before heading back to Sweet Tooth. Céline is surprised to see the building and much like Theo, she's wowed by its charming appearance as they prepare to get started, shyly explaining that she has been learning about making all sorts of food.

Theo starts to prepare the chips, but he proceeds to mess up and Céline is too reluctant to say anything until Theo proceeds to burn the potatoes multiple times and she's finally had enough, yelling out that he's letting it become crystallized. Céline takes out her cooking science book and becomes excited, chattering away about the different types of spices and textures in each individual flavour and how science is an important factor in both baking and cooking to avoid making the same mistakes over and over. Her words not only end up causing Danny and Pekorin to fall asleep, but by now Theo is starting to realize how complicated this will be. It seems to dawn on Céline and she quiets herself as Theo reveals that it's getting late. She takes off after apologizing.

As she runs back home, Céline thinks about the past and how she enjoyed sharing her knowledge of potato chips with others. Originally everyone liked to hear about the facts she would tell them during class, but over time they lost interest and just began to ignore her because she didn't like the same things that they did now and even calling her weird for it.

Céline continues to feel depressed as she realizes her knowledge has isolated her once again. She remains saddened throughout the night at home as she looks through her book, and the following day she attempts to avoid Theo after spotting him in the library at school. She heads home afterwards but finds herself near Sweet Tooth again. She attempts to leave until overhearing Theo complain about messing up again, and she peeks through the window to spot him looking at the book he has, complaining that it's too difficult for him to make sense of. Céline calls out and startles Theo, before joining him in the kitchen as he explains having found a copy of the book at school. Theo pleadingly asks her to lend a hand and Céline does so, assisting him so that they can follow the recipe exactly.

Theo introduces her to the magic words "Flavour Sparks, Flavour Up..." and soon it finishes, causing him to happily embrace Céline. He asks to call her "Miss Potato-Lady" as thanks and Céline becomes withdrawn again. She begins to cry as she tells Theo that she enjoys snacks because of the science that goes into making them, but she's unable to understand other’s feelings. She really wants her own feelings regarding how much she loves potato chips to reach others, something Theo can agree with. He can tell Céline loves snacks, and while she might talk a little too much about them, he is very thankful to her because it was her help that taught him how to make everything taste great in the end. He suggests they get to decoration and together, they create a bucket-sized stack of chips.

Once they come out from the air fryer, the teens celebrate, which flusters Céline as Theo decorates a smaller stack of chips to look like another alien creature in honor of Céline. Theo hands over the chips while explaining that Céline reminds him of a kind-hearted and shy beast whilst he brings up how accident prone and cheeky he is, and Céline happily mentions that she likes sci-fi as well.

As this is going on, a strange monster known as Crème appears and sucks the Flavour Spark energy from the potato chips at the supermarket. He leaves and senses the overflowing Flavour Spark within the chips that the teens made and heads to the location, frightening the duo; along with Danny and Pekorin as they join them outside. He turns the chips into a grey blob, before preparing to take them away from Céline but Theo comes to his defense. He refuses to let Crème have the potato chips they made together, and he transforms into Snack Warrior Gommeux to protect their snack and Céline.

Unfortunately, as Céline asks Pekorin for an explanation, Gommeux struggles to fight the large monster, whose squishy body causes the hero to stick to it and allows him to throw Gommeux around. Céline pleads for Crème to stop and a light forms around her, the monster chips transforming into a Junkie and a Sweets Pact. While she doesn't entirely understand, she grasps them both and announces her refusal to lose her precious new friend, transforming into Snack Warrior Frites.

Frites is alarmed by how fast she can run as she dodges an attack from the humongous Crème, with Gommeux coming to her rescue to stop him. She starts apologizing for what she said about friendship but Gommeux assures her they are friends, cheering her up. As they prepare for the fight, Frites realizes how monster-like she actually is, so she puts this to use to distract Crème by running at super speed around him until he's so dazed that she can use her potato magic from the compact to bind him. Gommeux uses a new light blue Junkie to help and soon, a large glowing gummy potato surrounds Crème, releasing all of the Flavour Spark and returning him back into his original form before launching him away from the area.

With everything back to normal, the teens sit down and eat their delicious potato chips.
