Shuichiro Kawaguchi (川口 修一郎 Kawaguchi Shūichirō?) is the main protagonist of Kamen Rider Devdas. He is the first child and elder son of the Kawaguchi family and the founder of Kawaguchi Dynasty who transform into Kamen Rider Devdas (仮面ライダーデヴダス Kamen Raidā Devudasu?).
History[]
Backgrounds[]
Shuichiro Kawaguchi was born in January 30, 1999, a month after the first Battle of Astran event, to his parents Taki Kawaguchi and Meera Banerjee, and has a brother Shirou Kawaguchi and younger sister Sumire Kawaguchi.
Birth of Devdas[]
In present-day, Shuichiro was later raised by his family and he is a martial artist. He later realized that he didn't know how to use the pyrokinesis power. While attending to Gandhi Jayanti celebration, the event were later sabotaged by the Immortal Army, leading by Khilji. Since the chaos, the event would later dismissed until the power of Agnyastra called him from the skies, create through the light power, and he ended picked up Sarega Driver, Cobra Sarega Disc and was able to transform into "Kamen Rider Devdas", by wielding the power of Agnyastra that he spoke of earlier. He didn't expected that he was chosen to be known as the first Astra Riders, and aiming the battle against Immortal Army and defeat the Crimson Reaper with a full-blast action, at once.
Shuichiro demorphed, then Yudai came after him, he praised him and said that he has been chosen as "Gods of Astra" by God of Will. Then, his father had a plan to re-founding his own dynasty, and he'll said that his son would be succeeding by founding the dynasty and he would make it for sometimes, but he needs a recruited members at first. A week after he became Kamen Rider for the first time, he would later became the founder of Kawaguchi Dynasty. Suddenly, the messengers from above has sent the latters to him and making the war betweens humans and Immortal Armies would be started soon, and he can't let their enemies to take down of their civilizations. Kamen Rider Geats[]
Sometimes after, Shuichiro can be seen looking for the brand new Sarega Discs in there, then suddenly he had a called from someone needs a help and he will help them, while Ace Ukiyo looks behind Shuichiro and hopes that he will find his own happiness someday as the two of them walked away by not facing each other, and he'll soon would meet again for someday. Leading the Astra[]
After his first battle as Kamen Rider, he later discovered Tiger Sarega Discs with an unique driver named Badal Driver, he take the driver and discs back to the citadel and he would keep the things that he found earlier hide from the others, until his brother Shirou found the driver and disc but, he barely didn't know that his brother also been chosen as Astra Rider as Kamen Rider Badal, by using electrokinetic power.
The two Astra Riders is approached by Kamen Rider Gora, Kentaro Shonozaki, who bring his brother to challenge him by discovered his power, until Kamen Rider Bhuvan, Zenki "Abhi" Nakamoto trying to interrupt the duel between Gora and Badal, but Shuichiro luckily stopped him and the three of them battle against Bhuvan. As Bhuvan's defeat, they realized that he have a trauma with an incident that happened during the the Immortal Army invasion in Japan, but the siblings didn't know about the past incident. They later discovered the event and the three villains suddenly appeared and it was revealed to be the masterminds for that incident was happened a year ago. After the battle, Kentaro and Zenki officially join Shuichiro's team against Khilji's forces and they was revealed that they also has been chosen as the Astra Riders.
Kamen Rider Geats: 4 Aces and the Black Fox[]
Shuichiro later appeared from behind Keiwa, Neon and Michinaga through his pyrokinetic ability, but they didn't know who he is. He would explained about himself to the three Riders, then he strikes down the enemy at once and for all to swiftly clear the warehouse and defeat the Knight Jyamato. Before leaving, he introduced himself as Kamen Rider Devdas and the founder of the dynasty to Tycoon, Na-Go and Buffa. He gifted the blank Sarega Disc as a gesture of goodwill before departing, and lastly Devdas bid his farewell to them until they meet again for someday. - Pyrokinesis: He can normally using the power of fire, despite he have a pyrokinessis power.
- Imaginary Creation: He can create anything using his flame power. For example, Shuichiro creating a fireball and bumps into their enemies.
- Portal Creation: Shuichiro can create a portal from earth to another dimension by using his pyrokinetic power, being able to create a portal where he accompanied the DGP Riders to travel into this dimension.
- Precognition: Due to wielding the Cobra Sarega Discs, Shuichiro can see visions of possible futures and from the past. He can also discovered any unit' vision as well.
Abilities[]
- Martial Arts Expert: Despite his lack of combat experience prior to becoming Kamen Rider Devdas, Shuichiro are good in martial arts and swords combat, and he is a skilled and formidable hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, nearly unrivaled by any opponents he faces.
- Billingualism: Besides he is speaking in Japanese, Shuichiro can also speak fluently in four languages, such as English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Weaknesses[]
- Knight Disc: Although powerful, using the Knight Disc on its own will cause Shuichiro to have massive terrible glare through the power of light, resulting in him of his eyes were blind and temporarily had a myopic with more often, while the side effects become worse due to frequent usage. However, Shuichiro can negate the drawback via combining the Knight Disc with Sarega Igniter to access Hyper Cobra.
Former Weakness[]
- Astra Degeneration: This weakness are considered that the Astra Rider would lose their Astra or elemental power, through the Astra Emblem's glowing degenerate with the petrified Sarega Disc. After Shuichiro using the God of Will's power, it seems Shuichiro are no longer suffer this weakness since he was chosen as "Gods of Astra".

Cobra Form (コブラフォーム Kobura Fōmu?) is Devdas' primary form, accessed through the sole usage of the Cobra Sarega Disc.
Cobra Form consists of the following parts:
- Cobra Headder (コブラヘッダー Kobura Heddā?): The head.
- Sare Cobra Top (サレコブラトップ Sare Kobura Toppu?): The head armor. The strong armor made of the rare metal Cobra Crown (コブラクラウン Kobura Kuraun?) is shaped like an crown to efficiently release impacts and protect the head.
- Sare Cobra Eye (サレコブラアイ Sare Kobura Ai?): The compound eyes. With the dynamic vision and wide viewing angle of the carnivorous dinosaur, which can be said to be the eyes of a hunter, it is possible to accurately capture the movement of any small target.
- Devignal (デビナル Debinaru?): The Forn regulator. It has the role of improving the accuracy of cooperation by adjusting the output and timing.
- Sare Cobra Crusher (サレコブラクラッシャー Sare Kobura Kurasshā?): The oral cavity. It has excellent respiratory efficiency and can take in the same amount of oxygen as normal even under low oxygen.
- Cobra Symbol Mantle (コブラシンボルマント Kobura Shinboru Manto?): The chest armor. The unique ability engraved with the symbol mark makes the user a Cobra warrior.
- Sare Genetic Suit (サレジェネティックスーツ Sare Jenetikku Sūtsu?): The reinforced suit. Deployed at the same time as the Sarega Rise, the genetic information of the species supplied from the Sarega Driver is reconstructed, and by wearing it in an enhanced shape, the user is transformed into Kamen Rider Devdas.
- Sare Cobra Shoulder (サレコブラショルダー Sare Kobura Shorudā?): The shoulders. This powerful armor that reproduces the tough body surface that repels everything is mainly made of the rare metal Cobra Crown (コブラクラウン Kobura Kuraun?) that is collected from crystals, and the Form Suit transforms the genetic information of the species into a more competent shape.
- Sare Cobra Arm (サレコブラアーム Sare Kobura Āmu?): The arms. The energy supplied from the Devdas' suit enhances the physical ability of the user, and they are strengthened by adding the toughness of the cobra.
- Sare Cobra Glove (サレコブラグローブ Sare Kobura Gurōbu?): The gloves. The strength of cobra was allowed the user to fly with using his thunder energy or the Cobra Animal Power via summoning.
- Sare Cobra Leg (サレコブラレッグ Sare Kobura Reggu?): The legs. By partially swinging the Sarega Shift (サレガシフト Sarefa Shifuto?) that controls the composition balance of Devdas toward the species side, the shape becomes very similar to the legs of the T-Rex, creating overwhelming destructive power.

- Devdas summons the Cobra Animal Power and make a spiral run in a full speed and making the enemies fly into the air. Then, Devdas jump into the air and performs a flying kick into a gold, orange and pink energy construct of Cobra Animal Power that pierces the enemy's body and sends the enemy flying back and crashes the enemies down into the ground before exploding.
- Cobra Surging Finish (コブラサージングフィニッシュ Kobura Sājingu Finisshu?):
- Devdas run toward the enemy and performs an extremely punch with Cobra Animal Power into a orange and yellow energy surrounding the Cobra Symbol Mantle's energy and wipe out of the enemies before exploding.

Shuichiro Kawaguchi is portrayed by Taiga Otsuka (大塚大雅 Ōtsuka Taiga?). As Kamen Rider Devdas, his suit actor is Yuji Nakata (中田 裕士 Nakata Yūji?), who previously suit acted as Kamen Rider Geats and Kamen Rider Live, it marks the second time that Nakata played as the primary Rider after Geats.

- The name Shuichiro means "discipline, study, conduct oneself well, master" (修) (shu), "one" (一) (ichi) and "son" (郎) (ro).
- As for his Kamen Rider name, Devdas means "servants of God" in Hindi language.
