Stop Aurélie! The Flavour Spark of Hatred! is the twenty-second episode of Tri-Ranger's Snack Warriors as well as the 175th episode of the Justice Warriors Series overall.
Synopsis
Aurélie arrives before the Snack Warriors again in a last-ditch effort to defeat them once and for all. After she attacks the heroes, Pikario/Keinosuke reveals that Aurélie is his twin sister Kirarin. He tries to stop her but she pushes him away before sending everyone else to an underground cave. While there, the bakers learn about how Kirarin and Pikario studied sweets while visiting Tokyo before the sudden incident that tore them apart!
Plot
Aurélie releases the hatred and shadow within her heart, repairing her broken wand and unleashing a strong blast rendering the many fairies helpless. Gommeux manages to protect the other Snack Warriors with Gommeux Decoration, followed by them using their own attacks to fend him off. Aurélie effortlessly blasts them to the ground but before she can attack the group, Pikario yells out his sisters name thus bringing her to a halt.
Recognizing her hair decoration, Pikario can tell she's actually Kirarin, and he begins to cry softly as he tells her how worried he was. Aurélie refuses to listen and tells him to stop as she doesn't care about him. She uses her scythe and slashes at Pikario, throwing him back to the heroes before releasing a large blast of power that causes the teens to de-transform and fall through a large hole in the ground.
Sore and confused, the group discover they are now underground, but they begin to feel at ease surrounded by Flavour Spark. Danny admits to not having known about this location -and gets dropped by Pekorin, who is holding the Sweet Tooth box, in the process- as Pikario starts crying again. Danny then asks if something happened while they were in Tokyo, and Pikario claims not to know. They went to a patisserie to study sweets making in secrecy from the humans and were very excited. They found an attic they could practice baking in and while it was hard at first, they had a lot of fun. But one stormy night, Kirarin returned home and just as she had taken off, she declares her hatred of Pikario and sweets. Pikario attempted to follow her but she was gone before he knew it, which is why he came here to Strawberry Mountain.
As Theo now understands why Aurélie behaved the way she did, the Snack Warriors are confronted by the irate villain. Aurélie releases the shadows once more to entirely cover their surroundings and prepares to attack by summoning five large hands made from shadow power thus forcing the heroes to transform again. She accuses Pikario for being the reason she's like this as he tries to convince her to stop, then she easily overtakes the group once more and the ground breaks beneath them, causing them to fall even further. Pikario continues to try to break through to his sister as he reminds her of their precious memories; like the time he was upset his favorite whisk had broken, and she made macarons to cheer him up. Aurélie dismisses this and says that Pikario is ignorant and that he never cared about her at all.
Pikario began studying under humans and with each passing day was improving, but every time Kirarin tried she was met with failure. Then one day the former showed up suddenly as a human, and bragged that becoming a Snack Warrior would be really easy. He then went on to see the macarons she made and tried one, but he didn't like them as much as the ones she made back at home. Pikario ignored the sadness brought to Kirarin and left again, and it just kept happening until she couldn't take it any longer. Then whilst she was feeling dejected, Mademoiselle Obscurité appeared to encourage her to keep going. She sensed the strong, beautiful shadows within Kirarin and used dark Flavour Spark to summon a wand for her. After she took it, she became Aurélie.
It's because of Pikario that she now has the power to surpass both him and the Snack Warriors. She prepares to attack Pikario when Gommeux comes to his defense, but the former begins to feel weakened as he takes note of a strange power within Aurélie that he keeps sensing; one that seems to be reaching out to Pikario. The others appear and help him steady and Gommeux tells them that within Aurélie's heart, her feelings of Pikario are trying to hang on. Those who love her brother and want to be with him again, and to earn his approval, the feelings of pain that he withstands against her attacks knowing she's been in more pain for a long time. He tries to break through to Aurélie by telling her that when the power of shadows are strong, ones feelings must remain even stronger to withstand the pain. The feelings of love that make the shadows turn against her.
Aurélie's attack comes to a stop as she attempts to figure out how the group can remain standing, and they use this time to use Candy Heart Attack. With it, Gommeux manages to surpass the shadow barrier that remains, convincing Aurélie that she can feel those feelings she had forced away. She wanted to put her feelings of love for his brother into the sweets she made, and those feelings will always live on. Aurélie starts crying and tries her best to deny his words, but she weakens and the group finish their attack, completely purifying her.
The Flavour Spark returns to the cave as Pikario sadly acknowledges that even though he was always with Kirarin, he failed to see the pain she was in. He wasn't able to understand her the way Theo could. He isn't able to embrace ones feelings and return their sparkle within like he can, and for that he feels heavy remorse. As this is going on Pekorin and Danny come across a glowing unfamiliar location with the latter remarking that the powers of the ancient Snack Warriors are located here. Unknown to them all, Obscurité has been observing what went on from the entrance hole.
