Sekitsui Kageyoshi (影吉 脊椎, Kageyoshi Sekitsui) is the Supporting Protagonist of Kamen Rider Kyorex. He is the shade of Kouga Shiraishi who fights alongside some of the Kyoryusaurs against the Chixulians as Kamen Rider Spinaroh (仮面ライダースピナロー , Kamen Raida Supinarō).

Forms

Sekitsui transforms into a form called a Kyoryu Phase (京龍・フェーズ, Kyōryū Fēzu) by inserting the Kyoryu Skull of the appropriate Kyoryusaur into the Saurio Driver and pushing both of the levers, opening the Kyoryu Skull. This summons a dinosaur skeleton of the Kyoryusaur's motif which then becomes a Kyoryu Phase for Spinaroh, completing the transformation.

Sekitsui activates a Primal Crash (プライマル・クラッシュ, Puraimaru Kurasshu) finisher by pushing both levers again.

Primitive Phase (プリミティブ・フェーズ, Purimitibu Fēzu) is the ash default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Spinaroh. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it is weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given form.

Primitive Phase (プリミティブ・フェーズ, Purimitibu Fēzu) is the grey and brown default pre-form armor of Kamen Rider Spinaroh. Like most pre-forms in the Kamen Rider Series, it is weaker than all of the other forms and exists solely as a transition stage of the armor to any given form.

While transforming into the Asphalt Spino Kyoryu Phase, Spinaroh's Primitive Phase upgrades into a grey color with brown streak details on it, and the chest gains a brown stain like mark. This Primitive Phase remains as it is when assuming a Kyoryu Shift from Asphalt Spino Phase.

Asphalt Spino Phase

Asphalt Spino Phase (アスファルト・スピノ・フェーズ, Asufaruto Supino Fēzu) is Kamen Rider Spinaroh's black and ivory Spinosaurus and Tar pit-themed upgrade form, accessed by using Spineba's Asphalt Spino Kyoryu Skull in the Saurio Driver. This form has increased attack power compared to Spinaroh's primary form and can manipulate tar. Its helmet is modelled after a Spinosaurus Skull and dripping tar.

The Spinaroh Yuukitou is an ebony and ash-colored Legend Rider Yuukitou which contains the power of Kamen Rider Spinaroh. If used in a Kishisho Driver, it would unlock the Spinaroh Shinju Armour. The ornate engraving is based on a fossilised Spinosaurus.

The Spinaroh Gensenki is an ebony and ash-colored Legend Rider Gensenki which contains the power of Kamen Rider Spinaroh. It would turn the user into a Spinaroh Invader and grant them the Sailasher.

Etymology

Sekitsui's given name is officially written here with kanji meaning "Spine", which references the name of his primary form's motif.

Sekitsui's surname is officially spelled with kanji meaning "auspicious shadow".

Spinaroh (スピナロー , Supinarō) is a portmanteau of "Spine" (from Spinosaurus) and "Pharaoh".

Sekitsui's Rider Machine is modeled after the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX and is based on a Spinosaurus skeleton. Its name is a combination of "Spinosaurus" and "rusher".

• Spinaroh's Dilopho Phase is heavily inspired by the fictional depiction of Dilophosaurus made by the Jurassic Park franchise, as in real life they never had a neck frill or spat venom.
