Sean Schemmel is an American voice actor, director and screenwriter. He voices Kamen Rider Gawain in the English dub of Taki Gaiden: The Kunoichi Who Leapt Through Time.

Notes[]

  • Schemmel is best known for his voice as Goku in the Dragon Ball anime. Schemmel first began voicing Goku for Funimation in 1999, replacing Peter Kelamis (who had in-turn replaced Ian Corlett) from the previous Ocean Studios cast. He has since been the most consistent English voice actor for the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise; having voiced the adult and older teen variations of Goku in every anime series produced so far (Dragon Ball, Z, GT, Kai and currently Super) and nearly all Dragon Ball animated movies and video games, as well as the supporting character King Kai.
  • In addition to his voice acting career, Schemmel was also an ADR Director and Script writer for NYAV Post, where he had directed and adapted for English dubs of several Japanese anime series. In the field of narration, he has won two awards for his audiobook recordings.
  • Schemmel is born on the same day has his mother.
