Marinette VS Louis! Call Out to the Storm! is the tenth episode of Tri-Ranger's Snack Warriors as well as the 163rd episode of the Justice Warriors Series overall. Aurélie (the main villain of the next story arc) makes a brief appearance towards the end of this episode.
Synopsis
When the Snack Warriors decide to participate in Paris' annual Sweets Festival, they decide to showcase one of their new desserts. Marinette and Louis both go to buy some fruits for the sweet while the others start baking. As the two of them struggle to get along, their respective fan clubs appear to demand that Theo, Céline and Jules stop hanging out with their idols!
Plot
The Sweet Tooth Candy Shop has become popular and Theo believes it's because of the charismatic Louis and Marinette attracting many young high school customers. The group is going to have a stall at one of Paris' biggest events: The annual Sweets Festival and Marinette and Louis suggest showcasing a flashy and pretty new dessert. The bakers would then agree to bake some colourful jam tarts and the older duo would leave together to buy the fruits that they need to make the jam.
While Marinette and Louis are away, Theo, Céline and Jules attempt to bake the tart shell for their starting prototype. Jules wonders why two popular older students (who are starting university soon) are spending their free time in the shop and hanging out with three younger high school students. Theo dismisses Jules' suggestion nervously and right on cue Louis' and Marinette's fan clubs waltz in, demanding that their idols should not be involved with the Sweet Tooth anymore.
Meanwhile, Louis and Marinette are having a bit of a problem as all the fruit in both the local corner store and the supermarket is out of stock. Louis argues with Marinette that they should keep going to not disappoint the others, but is unsure what to do exactly. Marinette chides him for supposedly only wanting to help the others out of pity.
Back at the Sweet Tooth meanwhile, the male members of Marinette's fan club gush about her and tell the younger students that she had only joined them at the shop because she was bored of "having nothing to do".
In the shopping area, Marinette enters a jewelry shop. She puts on a necklace and tells Louis in a carefree tone that she is imagining the way the tart should look, puzzling the practical Louis. A elementary school girl shows up and wants to buy a brooch, but the shop owner thinks a less mature-looking brooch would suit her more. Marinette encourages the girl, remarking that she will grow into a lovely young woman whom it would suit fine. Louis smiles at Marinette's kindness.
The scene switches back to the Sweet Tooth, where the female members of Louis' fan club goes on about his rather cool attitude. They think that Louis only hangs out with the younger students because he feels sorry for "how lame they are".
Marinette and Louis spot an elderly man who is searching for the emerald that has come off from his ring. Louis strongly empathizes with the man and offers to search for the jewel. He crawls on the path like a cowboy would have done in a sewer, putting a lot of effort into finding the emerald. While this has been going on, the Flavour Spark thief Tarton stole all of the Flavour Spark energy from tarts all over Paris.
Louis has found the emerald and presents it to the man, who is overjoyed before whispering to Marinette that Louis is a wonderful boyfriend, and Marinette agrees. Just then, the two fan clubs show up and proceed to drag the duo away. Louis' fan club thinks that Marinette is too fickle, whilst Marinette's fan club claims that Louis doesn't think before he acts. However, Louis remembers Marinette's kindness and Marinette remembers Louis' passion and reliability.
Back at the Sweet Tooth, Theo, Céline and Jules lament that their first try at a tart was too hard to eat. Theo is distressed and thinks that Marinette and Louis won't come back. Nevertheless, he gets a grip and creates more batter for a second attempt. Tarton would then appear and she takes the Flavour Spark from the tart shell before transforming into a powerful form in which she can unleash devastating spin attacks.
The three of them transform into their Snack Warrior alter-egos and try to best Tarton, but she is too strong for them. Marinette and Louis show up just in time and transform as well. The two defeat Tarton by cooperating and combining their attacks. Afterwards, Louis takes Marinette's hand, pulling her along while explaining that they should continue their search. Marinette smiles at that and the two go back to do some more shopping after more fruit arrives.
In the evening, a mysterious figure looms on top of the tower whilst she looks at a flyer for the upcoming Sweets Festival. At the Sweet Tooth, the bakers look at the choice of fruits and Theo proceeds to decorate the tart pieces so that they look like hedgehogs before inviting the fan clubs to try them. They love the tarts so much that they gush about their new favourite candy store.
