Louis Beaumont is a young confectioner who transforms into Snack Warrior Chocolat. He is also a student at Collège Françoise Dupont alongside the other Snack Warriors.
History
First Appearances And Transforming Into Chocolat For The First Time
Louis made a cameo appearance, where he sees a vision of a chocolate bar in the sky after an eruption at Strawberry Mountain. He appears again by saving Theo from falling on the sidewalk, causing the latter to develop a crush on him. At the time, Theo thought Louis was a girl.
Later, Theo learns that Louis had moved in next door to him, and he started falling for Louis even more. The other Snack Warriors join him at his house to learn more about the mysterious girl next door. Louis looks on from the balcony and asks Theo if he knew of any good shops that sold chocolates. Theo shows him one with a book that he flipped through. The two of them head into the shopping district the next day to the store in question and bought chocolate, one as a gift for Louis' ailing younger brother André, who was in the hospital, and another for Theo as a thank-you present. As Louis explains to Theo about his brother, a Flavour Spark Thief named Bitard attacks and steals the chocolates intended for André, leaving Louis shocked.
Theo tries and fails to get them back. Upset by this, Theo comes up with the idea of having him and Louis make their own chocolate instead. Back at Sweet Tooth, they make a chocolate western-style saloon with a strawberry resembling a cowboy hat as the other three watch. While making them, Celiné and Jules figure out that Louis is actually a boy when he called it "cool" instead of "cute". Just then, as they finish up, Bitard appears again to take the homemade chocolate, but Theo transforms into Snack Warrior Gommeux in front of Louis to defend it. However, like last time, he was easily defeated and de-transformed. Seeing this, and the other Warriors also struggling against Bitard, increases Louis' desire to protect the chocolate even more.
One of the chocolates that was made earlier then reacts, turning into a Junkie and a Sweets Pact. With this, Louis transforms into Snack Warrior Chocolat for the first time and used his heightened sense of smell to track down Bitard easily, eventually defeating him and restoring the stolen Flavour Spark he stole from the chocolates. That night, Theo visits Louis again when Danny appears and reveals to him that Louis is actually a boy and not a girl like he thought, causing Theo to become shocked.
Rescuing His Brother
Louis' brother, André is discharged from the hospital, much to his surprise. Louis then advises André not to develop high standards that he can't withstand, and tells his brother to inform him if he's not feeling comfortable. However, he starts to realize André is feeling disappointed with not being the best assistant, and wonders why he wants to give him a hand until Marinette tells Louis that André hopes to repay his kindness and care. But right after he tastes the poodle chocolate André made for him, Aurélie appears before them and steals André's Flavour Spark.
A fierce battle between Louis and Aurélie commences, and Chocolat is originally at the lower hand as his friends are confined and he is injured by one of Aurélie's attacks. But upon recalling how André wishes him to feel the same happiness and worry less, he frees himself from Aurélie's dark orb with the power of the cake, and rescues his brother after he and his friends defeat Aurélie. On the bus ride of sending André back to the hospital, the two brothers share a smile with each other and promise to make sweets together when they meet again.
Louis initially hopes to spend time with André and their grandfather during her class's cultural festival, but his responsibilities for the festival prevents him from doing so. Suddenly, Daphné shows up and drains all of the Flavour Spark, captures all of the festival-goers, and holds André hostage. She proceeds to guilt trip Chocolat by saying that he cares more about other strangers than his sickly brother after trapping him in a trial bench and adds that by protecting something, other things are put at risk. The hardships of trying to protect a loved one eventually chips away at a person; so she thinks he just needs to save his brother and let everyone else suffer. However, Chocolat tells her that even if he has contradictory feelings, he refuses to let anyone, including André suffer from that. His resolve to protect his brother and everyone else makes not only his dog crystal transform, but also has Chocolat regains the strength to fight back. In the end, with André and the other civilians rescued, he finally has the chance to balance his time, and gets to exchange cookies with André.
He rescues André once again after the latter is kidnapped by Daphné and transported to another dimension of darkness where he faces off against the latter, who powers herself up with an armor and has trapped Miku inside a monstrous snowman. Although originally at a disadvantage, Chocolat overcomes his difficulties via his love and courage. When André tells Chocolat that he's holding Louis back, Chocolat reassures him that he has found his own capabilities and hugs André. In the end, at the Culture Festival pop patisserie, André and Louis spend time sharing chocolate treats.
Relationship With Marinette
As he begins working at Sweet Tooth, Louis spends more time with Marinette as well. They have some clashes owing to their different perspectives, but they soon learn to appreciate each other's strengths with the time they spend together.
The most notable development in their relationship happens when Prince Nata attempts to win Marinette over while mistaking Louis to be one of her "male concubines". He is then challenged by him in multiple competitions, which he gets all the disadvantages because of the prince's cheating, and almost has Sweet Tooth demolished by the Prince. In the beginning, Louis isn't confident with his own dancing until Marinette offers to be his dance partner. As he gets used to it, the prince interferes who then falls into the pool. Louis feels sorry for the prince and asks Marinette to drop the act, though the latter rejects his suggestion by pointing out that the battle between him and Nata isn't over. After Marinette allows the competition to proceed, Louis calls out the latter for toying with Nata's feelings but is then upset when Marinette somehow chooses to go to the Kingdom of Confetto and runs away from him.
The following day, when Keinosuke advises him to tell Marinette that she's being selfish, Louis replies that he didn't realize Marinette is a sensitive person and is sorry for being straightforward. After Keinosuke further advises him to speak about how he feels no matter how much he and Marinette seem to understand each other, he and Marinette are paired up to make chocolate lollipops together. Marinette then admits about her imperfections and vulnerability to Louis that surfaced after the confrontation earlier with sadness, yet Louis still accepts her weaknesses and tells her to stop hiding. When Daphné manipulates Nata's Flavour Spark, Louis transforms into Chocolat to fight against her, only to be backstabbed and confined, which worries Marinette. Nonetheless, Chocolat's desire to protect Marinette ultimately helps him break through the bars, and is apologetic for concerning the latter. With Bonbon's assistance, Chocolat is able to hit the monster thanks to their strong bond. As Nata who still considers Akira as a concubine, entrusts Marinette to her and makes a pact between them before departing, he is embarrassed though also oblivious to Marinette's growing feelings for him.
Epilogue
A few years later, Louis has grown up and begins his study as a medical intern at a hospital in Paris.
Personality
Louis is a kind and youthful high school student in his third year. He is fiercely loyal and always stands by his loved ones, with a strong sense of justice like a cowboy. Louis has a rational mind and knows his way around places, making him a reliable person.
His caring nature extends to his younger brother André, who is sick. Louis often gives him chocolate to cheer him up and once even sacrificed his own Flavour Spark to rescue him. Despite being referred to as a girl by those around him due to the way he dresses, Louis doesn't mind and can even be a bit of a show-off at times.

Portrayal
- Louis is portrayed by Noah Schnapp who is best known for playing the role of Will Byers in the Netflix sci-fi horror series, Stranger Things. As with all the other Snack Warriors, his suit actor as Chocolat in the Gavv stock footage is Yuya Nawata (縄田 雄哉, Nawata Yūya).

- Chocolat is the French word for "Chocolate" which makes sense as it matches the suits main motif.
