Katsuki Bakugo (爆豪 勝己 Bakugō Katsuki?) is one of the main protagonists of Kamen Rider Deku. He's Izuku's closest friend and rival. While he doesn't have a Hero Name, his nickname is Kacchan (かっちゃん Kacchan?), which he also addresses his nickname as his Rider alias.
Using the Hero Driver and the Explosion Quirkchanger, he transforms into Kamen Rider Kacchan (仮面ライダーかっちゃん Kamen Raidā Kacchan?), the Secondary Rider of the show.

Personality[]
Katsuki is an hot-tempered, arrogant, crude and angry teenager that can be considered an anti-hero rather than an anti-villain or a villain (despite acting like an anti-villainous person in his debut as a rider). He usually bullies Izuku back then, mostly because Izuku didn't had a Quirk back then. Now, after Izuku gained the One For All Quirk after his hard working training with All Might for ten months, Katsuki began acting less of a bully and more of an arrogant person that usually yells for everything.
He also seems to be hungry for victories, since he always cares about victories rather than saving others from danger.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Explosion (爆破 Bakuha?): His Quirk that allows him to perform explosive attacks. To perform that, he uses sweat that is similar to nitroglycerin from his hands to create various explosive attacks. With the Grenadier Bracers, his attacks are more brutal and more stronger than usual, and if Katsuki continues sweating, his explosions can range from dangerous to powerful.

This is Katsuki's Costume (コスチューム Kosuchūmu?). It appears during his henshin sequence into Kamen Rider Kacchan, before the armor parts attaches to the suit. He bears the Grenadier Bracers (籠手 Kote?) which allows him to perform explosive attacks.

Katsuki transforms into Kamen Rider Kacchan (仮面ライダーかっちゃん Kamen Raidā Kacchan?) by inserting the Explosion QuirkChanger into the Hero Driver, then pumping the right wing-like lever of the driver.
In this form, his stats are a huge boost from Deku's stats, surpassing him in everything, such as punching, kicking, speed and running power. He also bears his Grenadier Bracers (籠手 Kote?) which allows him to perform explosive attacks.
The finisher in this form is:
- Rider Explosive Kill (ライダー爆発キル Raidā Bakuhatsu Kiru?): He jumps and using his Grenadier Bracers he can boost himself into the sky or get closer to the enemy, following with a powerful explosive double handed punch to finish the enemy.
- Rider AP Shot (ライダー徹甲弾 Raidā Ei Pī Shotto?): By forming his hand into a circle and placing it on his palm in the front of the Grenadier Bracer, Kacchan concentrates his Explosion path on a single point, allowing him to perform an explosive blast that can pierce thru concrete or destroy a Nomu instantly.

Sturdy Hero Form (剛健ヒーローフォーム Gōken Hīrō Fōmu?) is Kacchan's second main form, accessed by inserting the Hardening QuirkChanger into the Hero Driver, then pumping the right wing-like lever of the driver.
In this form, his punching power is increased by a good number of margins, however, his kicking, jumping weight and running speed are lower. However, because of the use of the Hardening QuirkChanger, he gains the Hardening Quirk, managing to hard this body.
The Hardening QuirkChanger is also shared with Kamen Rider Riot
The finisher in this form is:
- Rider Hardening Kill (ライダー硬化キル Raidā Kōka Kiru?): Similar to Kamen Rider Riot's Rider Hardening Chop, Kacchan performs a vertical chop to defeat his opponent.
This form is exclusive to Deku Episode 14

Rekka Hero Form (烈火ヒーローフォーム Rekka Hīrō Fōmu?, Raging Fire Hero) is Kacchan's final form, accessed by inserting the Rekka QuirkChanger into the Hero Driver, then pumping the right wing-like lever of the driver.
In this form, his stats boost up much than usual, having a major punching and kicking power, a more higher jumping height and an incredible running speed. However, his punching, kicking and jumping power is outclassed by Deku's following forms, the HexaVictory Hero and Mighty Hero forms.
The Grenadier Bracers in this form are upgraded into the Rekka Grenadiers (烈火籠手 Rekka Kote?, Raging Fire Grenadiers), which allows him to perform more brutal explosive moves.

Katsuki Bakugo is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto (岡本 信彦 Okamoto Nobuhiko?). As Kamen Rider Kacchan, his motion capture suit actor is Eitoku (永徳?).

- His helmet design resambles that of Kamen Rider Cross-Z.
- Kacchan is the first Secondary Kamen Rider:
- since Diend to be an anti-villain, but unlike him, Katsuki started as an anti-villain, and later turned into an anti-hero the next episode.
- since Specter to be a black colored Secondary Rider.
- Katsuki's transformation pose harkens back to Kamen Rider 2's pose.
- Before performing his henshin pose, he clenches his fists before performing his henshin pose. This is a bit very similar to how Kotaro Minami transforms into Kamen Rider Black.
