Kamen Rider Wisp: Civil War (仮面ライダーウィスプ:内戦 Kamen Raidā U~isupu: Naisen?) is a web series (of 13 episodes) that serves as the endgame to Kamen Rider Wisp and serves as a tribute to Kamen Rider Ryuki, Kamen Rider Amazons and Sonic Colors.

It first premiered on Amazon Prime Video on June 6th, 2021, similar to Kamen Rider Amazons, before being added to Netflix on August 29th, 2021. All age ratings are at the highest non-*********** level.

Synopsis

After the events of Kamen Rider Wisp, twenty Year 12 friends (13 males, 7 females) made a pact with each other that they will reunite a few years after their Year 10 graduation prom, and reconnect on what they've done from then.

Three years later, however, one of the 20 friends has been marked as "deceased", and might be related to another case. Along with that, all friends have strained their relationships with each other. A strange figure (who looks familiar to the "deceased" friend) comes with a morpher made by the remnants of the HayaiDriver, Amazons Driver, and one of the remaining Wisp capsules, before a small wave of monsters come into the city.

The drivers combine with the wisp capsules, and turns into Kamen Rider Neo-Wisp, "guided" by the "voice" of Sonic the Hedgehog. Despite some of his friends know his return, what he has become ignites a war between broken friends.

Trivia

  • This special was originally gonna feature Legend Riders battling out, although Shadic decided against that (mainly cause it's been done before), and used original human characters instead.
  • This web series (or special) is interesting, as while Kamen Rider Wisp series is filmed in Japan and later dubbed to English, the web series is filmed in Australia and later dubbed to Japanese.
  • Each episode is inconsistent with the runtime, similar to Kamen Rider Amazons.
  • The humans believe that the monsters are speaking in an alien language, which in real life, they're speaking in Japanese. This is due to the fact that Toei required some Japanese actors to be included, so it was settled for them to be voicing monsters.
  • While deciding the theme songs for the four main riders, some songs were considered to be remixed:
    • Yoru wa Nemureru Kai (Can You Sleep at Night?) by Flumpool was planned to be Neo-Wisp's theme, but was eventually not chosen, after finding out that the song had originally been used for Kamen Rider Elfen. While it has since been changed, it's currently not chosen, due to avoid current confusion.
