Kamen Rider Fu is my fifth original Kamen Rider who I thought up in 2016. But I didn't start working on it until the following year. He is an Animal Kung-Fu Motif. Takes place after Kamen Rider Crypto and before Kamen Rider Tech.
Plot[]
Once every generation, the Yeshou Quan Kung Fu Academy holds a tournament. The winner is the one worthy of keeping the Cursed Scrolls safe and from being unleashed. But an angry student who, despite trying to cheat, had lost the final round fairly, angrily attacks the winner as the winner is presented the box containing the Cursed Scrolls. This results in the scrolls scattering to the four winds and begin taking possession of people to use as hosts & gain monstrous forms based on their respective fighting styles of the beings trapped within the scrolls. Now it’s up to Daniel Li, the winner of the tournament, and descendant of the academy’s founder, and students from two other schools to stop the Fist Demons and also purify the Cursed Masters while learning new fighting styles as Kamen Rider Fu!
The Legend Of The Masters[]
Four thousand years ago in Asia, there was a large group of warriors that specialized in animal style kung-fu, some of which would eventually become the partial basis for karate & ninjitsu. Using powerful scrolls, the masters turned themselves into the animals who’s styles they practiced and were granted immortality. Several masters decided that they wanted to rule over humanity & be worshipped as gods while the other twenty-three masters wanted to co-exist & teach the masses. A great battle broke out that caused destruction to spread through many areas of Asia. Master Kenichi Li, the man who trained them, had no choice but to perform a forbidden, and rather dangerous, technique in order to stop the battle before anymore destruction could be caused. He sealed the Fist Demons & their followers into scrolls. But as a side effect, several of the good Beast Masters were cursed and sealed in the scrolls as well. The remaining Beast Masters made a promise to their mentor that they would ensure that their cursed comrades & the Fist Demons would never be unleashed. But if they are unleashed, the Beast Masters are to find Master Li’s descendant & two other worthy warriors to fight them and destroy the Fist Demons while purifying the cursed masters by utilizing the three Fist Belts that Kenichi made & become Kamen Riders.

- The initial idea came to me while watching "The Forbidden Kingdom" starring Jackie Chan & Jet Li on TV.
- Plus noticing some of Kamen Rider Wizard's movements, namely in his Water Style & Water Dragon Style Forms, were very kung-fu-like.
- But the ideas for the scrolls, masters & villains came from the Face Off Season 11 finale, also known as "The Kung-Funale", "Battle Of The Beasts" where the three remaining finalists each had to make two animalistic kung-fu masters that would participate in a scripted fight sequence. The actors were actual experts of six styles of Animal Kung-Fu.
- Unlike the Kung-Funale, I chose to make the three evil masters be good guys. Including the Dragon.
- This is also a tribute to Juken Sentai Gekiranger & its American counterpart Power Rangers Jungle Fury which had the first Purple Ranger in the franchises' histories.
- This is my first series with more than two Kamen Riders.
