It's Because Of Love! The Furious Snack Warrior Chocolat! is the fifteenth episode of Tri-Ranger's Snack Warriors as well as the 168th episode of the Justice Warriors Series overall.
Synopsis
André is free from the hospital for a couple of days and so he decides to spend this time with Louis. But when the Snack Warriors are forced to protect André's Flavour Spark, Louis becomes enraged to the point of performing badly; will the older brother give into his anger?!
Plot
Louis is busy preparing some chocolate for his younger brother André, who he will be going to see later. He is very excited, but whilst the bakers wonder what he is like they are caught by surprise when a young boy suddenly appears in their kitchen; one that Louis addresses as "André" causing the group to realize this must be him. As André fills the others in on how he was given a day pass to leave the hospital, Louis converses with his parents on the phone.
After finishing the ice cream made for him, André happily reveals to have learned about everyone in the shop; with Theo being so flattered that he offers him several more sweets. André quickly becomes attached to Pekorin when she joins them in the room, then goes on to make a request.
Louis returns with concern, when he suddenly spots André donning an outfit much like their own. He's worried as André explains how he would like to help out, but with some convincing from the others he agrees on the condition that André must tell him if he feels unwell. André assures his older brother that it'll be fine, but he soon becomes overwhelmed while trying to help out by taking customer orders. By the time he returns he forgot most of them, but Louis was listening in on him so he remembered everything, and once the orders are collected, André takes the sweets to the customers but he feels disappointed about not doing it himself so Theo suggests that he help in the kitchen; where he struggles to properly ice the panda cookies that Céline was making.
While he's further displeased the others assure him its fine, and Theo lets André come shopping with him to give him a break. Things go well but André still seems saddened, so as they hang out at the park he opens his pouch to pull out "Louis' lucky charm", cute dog-shaped chocolates he made that always make him feel better when he eats them. He offers one to Theo and explains that because of Louis giving him chocolate since he was younger, he really loves it now. But he really wants to repay his older brother somehow. Theo suggests they make a brand new sweet that will make Louis smile, so André asks if they can make a chocolate cake.
Just then, Aurélie (disguised as Umeko) appears, startling the boys until she explains that she was napping in the tree and overheard them. She goes on to say that she likes this idea, and she gives André support before agreeing to keep it a secret. As Louis comes to find the Theo and André, he feels a bit suspicious upon seeing Aurélie, but she takes off so they return to Sweet Tooth. Theo asks Marinette and Louis to go out for a bit while he works on something. Initially, Louis seems unsure but Marinette convinces him it will be fine, so she leads him out to the nearby park while the others get to work in the kitchen.
At the park Louis wonders why André wanted to help out so much, and he recalls a past incident when a dog scared him when he was much younger. Louis was able to raise André's spirits by presenting him with a chocolate bar and since then he has always been keeping a close eye on him to protect his smile. Marinette remarks that André seems to be a lot like his older brother then, because he thinks he is trying to do the same for him right now.
Setting up the cake, André begins to work on decorating it. He has an idea in mind already, but as he struggles a little, Theo steps in to help guide his hands so that the frosting looks more like what he was going for. They head outside hearing Marinette and Louis return, and in his hurry to meet up with his older brother, André suddenly trips. Luckily, Louis catches him and ensures he is okay, and they bring him over to the table to reveal the cake he made, one covered in fluffy chocolate cream to resemble the dog from the past. He happily asks Louis what he thinks of it after he takes a bite, and as Louis thinks about how she watched André throughout the day, he earnestly smiles realizing that his efforts were for his sake. André recalls the same memory from his past as Louis had done earlier whilst they both enjoy the cake.
Just then, Aurélie appears to steal the empowered Flavour Spark from the brothers. Louis rushes at her to knock her wand off-target, but when she knocks him away she still manages to obtain André's one. He then falls unconscious as Aurélie transforms her wand into a new weapon to fight the group. They transform into the Snack Warriors and instantly, Chocolat begins with a barrage of attacks that barely phase Aurélie, and in return she effortlessly manages to attack him and wraps the others in darkness so that they can't move to help him, allowing her to take Chocolat captive.
It's then something within Chocolat begins to awaken, and he realizes that André's feelings have been with him this entire time. He wanted to make Louis genuinely smile because of how much he worries over him. As Chocolat rises to break out of his prison, he's surrounded by Flavour Spark energy that grants enough power to his Candy Mixer to let him use Chocolat Aromase. With this, he easily restores the corrupted Flavour Spark and frees the other Snack Warriors so that they can use Candy Heart Attack.
Aurélie storms off after she observes Louis checking on André, wondering how their brotherly bond could have increased the Flavour Spark's strength like it did. She can't understand how it was capable of defeating her power like this.
Later that day, Louis and André board a bus that will take them back to the hospital. The group of bakers encourage André to come back and visit them again, and he asks that they keep looking after Louis. Marinette begins to teasingly wonder if maybe André has been the one protecting Louis all this time and they share a laugh. As the bus leaves, Louis asks André to make more sweets for him some day.
