Filled with Plenty of Love! Snack Warrior Gommeux is Ready to Serve! is the first episode of Tri-Ranger's Snack Warriors as well as the 154th episode of the Justice Warriors Series overall.
Synopsis
Theo Davis-Adams is gathering ingredients for some gummy candy that he wanted to make for his father when a mysterious cream explosion rocks the city of Paris. Thinking nothing of it, Theo starts to make his sweets and after several failures, he is suddenly greeted by Pekorin, a fairy who comes crashing into his face.
The fairy helps Theo tap into his feelings when making the candy, causing them to successfully solidify. Unfortunately, Theo learns his dad would not be coming home that day and he becomes so upset that he didn't want to finish the gummies. Just then, a mysterious creature named Juice appears, stealing the "Flavour Spark" from Theo's failed candies to take on a much stronger form and attack both him and Pekorin. How can Theo save his sweets from having its Flavour Spark stolen?
Plot
As a little boy, Theo loved to watch his dad, Luke, bake for him. As he lovingly watched them make some gummy candy, he described it's completed form as "Délicieux", catching the attention of his parents. His other father, Danny, remarked that Theo must see something special in it, and Theo agreed. He loved Luke's confections more than anything.
Overflowing with joy, Theo makes his way through town while greeting the various residents and picking up some gummy molds from a craft shop. As everyone begins to watch him, nobody is aware of the battle going on far in the mountains. He takes three large steps and upon landing, a large blast alerts him and everyone else to the glittery cream now covering the area, and after grabbing his bag he happens to spot clouds resembling various sweets. He reaches out for the gummy and becomes excited again, anticipating the delicious candy that he's going to make.
Other young people also see these shapes; potato chips, a marshmallow, lollipop, and chocolate. At home, Theo prepares to whip up some gummies, but for each attempt it fails to solidify and ends up melting into sludge. Danny tries to make him feel better but Theo forces him to leave the room so that he can try to figure out what is going wrong.
As this is going on, the various town residents are discussing the strange incident from earlier when a chef cries out. All of his pastries have turned grey and tasteless. A strange, purple monster floats up into the sky from the shop, having just stolen the Flavour Spark from there. A small pink dog-like creature chases after him but with one punch, he sends her flying straight for the Davis-Adams residence, where she flies into the window and crash lands on the counter that Theo was using. He ducks for cover before freaking out when the creatures ears momentarily flash blue, talks, and begins to float. But amidst his panic, he calms down the second the creature complains it's hungry. It asks for some sweets so Theo offers her the plates of his failed gummies. The creature agrees and hungrily chows down, calling his melted "popsicles" yummy. Theo attempts to take the compliment and they exchange names, the creature introducing herself as Pekorin.
With that, Theo resumes working on his candy. Pekorin is distressed as she watches him feverishly mix the ingredients and hurriedly stops Theo, telling him the Flavour Spark will disappear at this rate. Theo seems confused but he accepts this and quickly gets it into the refrigerator, and to his delight, this batch solidifies. He happily hops around while holding Pekorin and cuddles her in thanks, realizing that his problem was simply a case of over-mixing.
As they wait for it to finish cooling, Theo explains that one of his dads, Luke, is a doctor who works in small villages, so it's been a year since they last saw each other. He wants to make him some tasty gummies in thanks of the wonderful gummies that Luke used to make for him when he was little. Pekorin assures Theo that his feelings will reach his father, and she goes on to repeat the magic words "Flavour Sparks, Flavour Up..." to ensure of it. Theo joins her, but before he can finish reciting it the phone begins to ring. As he gets up to answer it, Pekorin happily observes that the gummies are full of Flavour Spark energy.
Theo is heartbroken upon finding out that Luke won't be coming home as planned. Before he left, a patient got really sick, so he has to stay behind to help them get better. He sadly reasons that it can't be helped as the gummies finish cooling, but he's too sad to bother with it now.
Just then, the strange creature from before -Juice- blasts the window out of the kitchen and he approaches the gummies to pull out every last bit of Flavour Spark from all of them. The candies turn grey as Pekorin reveals the glittery source she sees as the precious energy that fills sweets. Juice goes on to announce that when he has enough of it he plans on messing up this world, and he inhales it all to transform into a dog-like monster. He prepares to take the last bit from Theo's successful batch but Pekorin refuses to let him have it knowing how hard he worked to make it for his dad, and she grabs the tray holding it before evacuating from the Davis-Adams home.
As Juice chases after her and grows even bigger to try grabbing Pekorin, Theo follows at them and makes a diving grab for her after he swipes at her, sending her falling to the ground. Distressed as he rises back up, Theo tries to tell Pekorin that it's not worth protecting. He offers the gummies to the monster and asks that he leaves Pekorin alone if he does, and he agrees. Theo tells Pekorin that without his dad there to try it, it doesn't matter. But Pekorin argues with Theo to try to get her to reconsider, and he starts to weep as he thinks back to the past, when he asked his dad why his gummies were always so good. Luke told Theo that it was because of his feelings of love for him, that he would place into each one.
Theo realizes that by handing over this batch of gummies, he would throwing away his precious feelings of love for his dad. He refuses to hand it over and thanks Pekorin for helping him to see this, but Juice refuses to leave just because of that. He prepares to take the candy for himself but suddenly, Theo finds a glittery barrier surrounding them. Pekorin reasons that this is the Flavor Sark energy within the gummies, and he must complete it now. Theo is surprised by such a command, but he agrees and starts, only for the finished creation to come out in a pile of clumps, worrying Pekorin until he tells her that his overwhelming feelings mean more than that. Just then, he sees a flash of a small and cute gummy-like monster and becomes inspired to decorate the gummies so that it looks like one. He asks that his feelings reach his father, and the Flavour Spark filling it becomes so strong that the gummies transform into a Junkie and summon a Sweets Pact.
Theo transforms into Snack Warrior Gommeux, much to his shock. Juice attempts to attack Gommeux and Pekorin but when Gommeux goes to dodge it, he finds himself extremely high up in the sky and he starts to panic while falling back down. But with some flexibility and quick feet, he manages to save himself. He also uses his new supersonic ears to sense where Juice is and manages to dodge every attack from him. But he starts wondering how to fight back and the Sweets Pact starts glowing. He opens it up and gently plays with the glittery cream inside with the small whisk-like pen and this causes the surroundings to become purple as he uses this magical cream to beat Juice up, then repeating Pekorin's words, he uses an orange junkie that forms a giant boot which explodes when Theo powerfully kicks an enemy. This attack reverts Juice back into his smaller size before throwing him from the area.
As everything reverts to normal Pekorin compliments Theo until a strange, decorative box falls to the ground near them. It begins to talk, which panics Theo as Pekorin recognizes the person's unique voice.
