This article is about a/an transformation device in Taki Gaiden: The Kunoichi Who Leapt Through Time. |
The Ridewatches (ライドウォッチ Raido Wotchi?) are pocketwatch-like devices that contain the power of past Kamen Riders, used by the Riders in Kamen Rider Zi-O. They also appear in Engine Sentai Go-Onger: 10 YEARS PRELUDE feat. Kamen Rider Build and Taki Gaiden: The Kunoichi Who Leapt Through Time.
Overview[]
- For the overview of the Ridewatches, see here.
Ridewatch Creation (Showa Riders)[]
- Confirm that an Another Rider exists during the present day, provided it was born after it's original counterpart's debut year, preferably present day. The original Rider will appear alongside with his Another Rider counterpart due to the fact that Azwel created these Another Riders to brainwash a Showa Rider into subservience.
- It is also optional to defeat the original Rider to break free from Azwel's brainwashing.
- Defeat it using Zi-O Trinity or Taki Supreme Type.
- After defeating the Another Rider, the original Showa Rider will die and disappear into nothingness, leaving behind their Ridewatches.
- This is because according to Ora, creating an Another Rider based on a Showa Rider is considered a taboo act the Time Jackers are forbidden to do. This is because that Another Rider will also inherit the original Showa Rider's cybernetic enhancements that keep them alive. This essentially make a Showa Another Rider a "soul jar" to the original Showa Rider as if it sustains half of their lifespan, in a sense that destroying that Another Rider will also kill that Showa Rider.
- This can be prevented with either two options: (1) A Time Jacker steals their power using a blank Ridewatch, resulting in the creation of their Ridewatches. (2) A Showa Rider willingly surrenders his power to Zi-O and/or Taki, thus creating their Ridewatches.

- In the case of Showa Riders Shin, ZO, and J, their watches have to be sealed from their Another Rider counterparts before they become actual Ridewatches.
Miridewatch Creation (Taki Gaiden)[]
Like the other four Riders from the future that appeared in the Zi-O TV series (Shinobi, Quiz, Kikai, and Ginga) who have their own method of obtaining their Miridewatches, these three future Riders that appear in Taki Gaiden: The Kunoichi Who Leapt Through Time - Volt, Shippu, and Rock, who likewise don't exist in the present day, also have their own unique method of obtaining their Miridewatches.
Volt Watch[]
- Only those who possess a sheer willpower are proven worthy of Volt's powers. Upon hearing from Goro Izumi that Taki also possesses an indomitable will, Volt willingly asked White Woz to create the Volt Miridewatch from one of the blank Miridewatches in Taki's possession.
Shippu Watch[]
- Taki must take Hayate to 1589, where his distant ancestor, Talim began her ordeal as the Last Priestess of the Winds in order for Hayate to meet his ancestor in person. Another Shippu must be defeated in that same time period upon encounter in order for White Woz to create the Shippu Miridewatch and have Hayate give the watch to Taki.
Rock Watch[]
- Taki must engage Kamen Rider Rock in combat and defeat him. While Taki and Zi-O are going to battle Another Rock with Kengo Arashi, this allows White Woz to create the Rock Miridewatch for Gennosuke and personally confer the watch to Taki as a reward for defeating him.
Mugenryu Watch[]
- During the Another J crisis with the earth in peril, Taki had no choice but to seek assistance from the dragon, Gurenryu; Kamen Rider Mugenryu's familiar. Taki sacrifices her own humanity by stabbing herself with Mekki-Maru smeared with Gurenryu's blood, thus becoming a half-human/half-dragon hybrid, thus creating the Mugenryu Miridewatch.

Additionally, when inserted into the BeyonDriver, the Taki Imperial Miridewatch's gnomon can be flipped left or right to change Taki Imperial Type's current form between the light/sun-themed Imperial Type Soleil and the darkness/moon-themed Imperial Type Luna.
The Taki Imperial Miridewatch consists of the following parts:

TakiBeyond Miridewatch (タキビヨンドミライドウォッチ Taki Biyondo Miraido Wotchi?): The TakiBeyond Miridewatch splits into two halves which can be used in both slots on the Ziku-Driver, allowing Taki to transform into TakiBeyond. Like the Zi-O II Ridewatch, the TakiBeyond Miridewatch causes the Ziku-Driver to display glitched numbers during the standby loop. It is labeled as "Max" and dated 2019, but shown on the Ziku-Driver's screen as 0000.
It was manifested after Taki assembled the six component female Kamen Riders' Ridewatches (i.e, Nadeshiko, Mage, Marika, Poppy, Tsukuyomi, and Valkyrie) imbued with Ohma Zi-O's power into two Ridewatches combined into one that can be separated back to transform. The D'9 side contains the powers of Nadeshiko, Mage, and Marika, while the D'3 side contains the powers of Poppy, Tsukuyomi, and Valkyrie.
This Ridewatch appears to be sentient as it is an extension of Taki's existence, this allows the TakiBeyond Miridewatch to time travel back to 2020 from 2025 to grant the present Taki to transform into Beyond even though despite the prior knowledge of the watch's creation five years later. After the final battle against Kaine, the TakiBeyond Miridewatch is returned back to 2025 as this is to prevent further possible distortions in the spacetime continuum.
The TakiBeyond Miridewatch consists of the following parts:
- Beyond Starter (ビヨンドスターター Biyondo Sutātā?): The activation button. By entering this switch, it enters a standby state for connecting to the Ziku-Driver.

- ―Activation announcement[src]
Mugenryu Miridewatch (無限竜ミライドウォッチ Mugenryū Miraido Wotchi?): Based on Kamen Rider Mugenryu, the Mugenryu Miridewatch allows Taki to transform into Mugenryu Taki.
However, this watch possesses one major flaw. Overusing this Miridewatch causes Taki to become increasingly aggressive, in the process becoming as brutal, vicious and ruthless as Gurenryu, According to Tsukasa Kadoya, this side effect is the result of Taki also contracting Gurenryu's genetic condition caused by psychological and emotional stress stimulated through adjusting the flow of time. Each time Taki transforms into MugenryuTaki, the stimulant effect damages her brain cells, causing her behavior to shift into becoming vicious and bloodthirsty as she slowly loses her sense of morality and self-awareness, and eventually descending into raging insanity.
The Mugenryu Miridewatch consists of the following parts:

- Infinity Lock (インフィニティロック Infiniti Rokku?): The switch at the center of the Infinity Fang. It is where pressing the switch reveals the Send Projector which opens the lower jaw of the Infinity Fang and fully activate the Mugenryu Miridewatch before docking onto the BeyonDriver.
- Gekirin Smart Bezel (ゲキリンスマートベゼル Gekirin Sumāto Bezeru?): The overall frame of the watch. In addition to high strength, it acts as a shock absorber, protecting inner mechanisms.
- Send Projector (センドプロジェクター Sendo Purojekutā?): The screen. When the Miridewatch is loaded into the BeyonDriver, the Send Projector transmits data into it via super high-speed optical signals.
- Mugentrigger Grip (ムゲントリガーグリップ Mugentorigā Gurippu?): The Mugenryu Miridewatch's overall exterior. It has a shape to stabilize the loading operation to the BeyonDriver by making the finger function as a boom when holding by hand.

Notes[]
- The music of the Mugenryu Miridewatch's transformation jingle is a modified version of the chorus to the symphonic theme of The Avengers composed by Alan Silvestri.
- The TakiBeyond Miridewatch also uses the description announcement of the Progrisekeys, due to the fact that Kamen Rider Valkyrie is one of the components that make up the form.
- Additionally, the TakiBeyond Miridewatch also reuses the Hiden Zero-Two Driver's standby tune.
- The sound effects used on the TakiBeyond Miridewatch are modified sound effects and transformation noises of the Sparklence from Ultraman Tiga.
- TakiBeyond T.D.G. Type has a more longer transformation announcement than EX Type, with the additional lyrics coming from the theme songs from the three respective Ultra series shows.
