Céline Dupain is a young confectioner who transforms into Snack Warrior Frites. She is also a student at Collège Françoise Dupont alongside the other Snack Warriors.
History
First Appearances And Becoming Frites
In episode 1, she is seen reading a book while looking up into the sky after the cream explosion occurs, causing her to see a vision of potato chips.
While Theo is playing basketball, he completely misses the basket and runs into Céline, who is reading a book. Asked if she was alright, Céline says she is before leaving, forgetting the book she dropped- only to return after Theo mentions it. The next day, Theo encounters Céline in a snack shop during a sale and they both ask for the last pack of potato chips, but it ends up going to a little boy who asked for it while they were trying to figure out what to do. They then decided, at Pekorin's suggestion, to make some themselves. The two of them go to Sweet Tooth, but Theo keeps burning the potatoes. A somewhat reluctant Céline tells him what he was doing wrong and starts talking more about chips and other sweets and snacks. This causes them to run out of time, which brings back some saddening flashbacks for Céline, who had difficulty making friends because her tendency to talk a lot drove them away, and she was afraid she was doing the same to Theo.
The next day, she sees Theo looking for a book in the library and returns to Sweet Tooth later to find him trying to make the chips again. She offers to help him out and together, they successfully create a giant bucket full of them, with Theo making a smaller pile for Céline that he decorated to look like a monster with swords for hands. Suddenly, Crème appeared and stole the Flavour Spark from the chips and transformed himself into his most powerful form. After Céline's pudding is targeted, Theo transforms into Snack Warrior Gommeux but has a tough time against him. Céline tries to get him to stop when her potato chips turns into a Junkie and a Sweets Pact, allowing her to transform into Snack Warrior Frites. Using her newfound super speed, she along with Gommeux freed the Flavour Spark energy and forced Crème back into his normal form. They then proceed to enjoy the chips after the Flavour Spark returns to them.
Frites Illusion
Theo, Jules and Céline are requested by the shopkeeper to make a promotional video and he chooses Céline to handle reporting. Her nervousness to speak openly of her love of sweets causes her much grief when it is time to record. Their videos barely pull in views and she blames herself for not properly doing her job. At Sweet Tooth, she observes a little girl asking her mom various questions about their brand-new flamingo churros, but the mother doesn't have the answers. Céline does but she begins to hesitate and they leave. After recalling how she put so much study into learning more about pudding she loved so much, and she grew to like them, even more, having obtained the answer she was searching for, she runs after the pair and works up the courage to yell out to them, then she breaks down the process to the little girl with terms she can understand. Knowing what made the churro like they are, the little girl is very happy and it makes her like them even more, which makes Céline feel happy as well.
Following this, Aurélie attacks and steals the Flavour Spark within them. Céline transforms into Snack Warrior Frites and tells her off for misusing knowledge of food in such a way, and the others tell her of how she worked hard to try to make her feelings reach others. Céline is granted the ability to use Frites Illusion to deflect the arrow barrage sent at them. With her defeat, she begins to enjoy her role as a reporter, finding it easier to express herself and speak more openly.
The Great Sweets Experiment
When Céline is being praised by her friends, Dion Aubert who is the author of her favorite book, "The Science of Sweets" comes to visit Sweet Tooth and soon he sees through her, believing that she has the passion for both sweets and science like he does. Thus, Dion decides to test her knowledge to determine if she is worthy of being his assistant, which she passes, but she doesn't have much confidence to take up the role. Dion then encourages her to try finding out the secret behind the sponge cake, so she ends up becoming his assistant on his new TV show that's based on his book.
During the experiment, both Céline and Dion bake a giant sponge cake together, but despite their efforts the cake still collapses. Céline is initially discouraged, but Dion still calls it a success and thanks her for her determination and love for sweets that allowed the experiment to happen.
When Blaise suddenly shows up and snatches the Flavour Spark from Dion and the audience, Frites refuses to let him commit such a crime. Even though Blaise tries discouraging her after withstanding an attack from the Snack Warriors, she ignores his words and remembers how she has learned a lot which had helped her overcome her weaknesses. She and her friends manage to defeat Blaise's monster, and afterwards they all used the initially failed sponge cake to make cake pops, which Dion compliments after he wakes up. As everyone applauds, Céline is relieved to know that she has become a little more positive about herself before her sphere transforms into a squirrel.
The Audition
When TBA and TBA visit Sweet Tooth, they comment on how Céline has become more social after she helps them pick the chestnut squirrel pudding, and they recommend her to participate in a sweets program audition. Céline accepts their suggestion and then goes off to see Dion Aubert. Dion listens to her aspiration of wanting to become a more confident person, and he leaves a vote of confidence in agreement.
On the day of the audition, Céline is overwhelmed by the sheer number of participants, but her friends reassure her that everything will be alright. But soon her performance begins derailing when she gets distracted and starts to get too intense with her science thoeries, until the judges remind her that she is not fulfilling what they want. Reminded of when her classmates used to shun her away for being too enthusiastic, she gets anxious, apologizes to the judges, and runs off stage. Despite her friends trying to cheer her up, she thinks her self confidence isn't improving, and simply decides to drop out of the audition instead.
However, before Céline can leave, Daphné suddenly blocks her way. Not only has she unleashed darkness that has afflicted the hearts of the civilians in the event, but she also burns one of her notebooks as a way to break her down, before sending her to an isolated auditorium with herself as a film director. As Daphné begins replaying her sad past, Céline is on the verge of succumbing to her influence. But before she joins her, she steps on a remaining piece of her burnt notebook, and as she observes it, she recalls how Theo befriended her and all the experiences she has had with her loved ones.
As Céline slowly comes to her senses, Daphné decides to face her directly. She transforms into Snack Warrior Frites, but Daphné binds her and her friends, while trying to manipulate her once more. Nonetheless, this time Frites stands her ground, and soon it is shown through the film that she is surrounded by the people who care about her with memories filled with the sweets she made for them.
After she and her friends have defeated Daphné, she doesn't have time to de-transform and ends up getting forced onto the stage by a staff member who mistakes her as somebody who sports a similar outfit. Although a bit anxious to face the judges again, soon regains her confidence and begins to remember what she has come for, while actually whipping up the ingredients. One of the main staff member tries to tell her that it's not necessary for her to make anything, but she tells him that she would rather do the things she loves instead of just imitating it, just like how she thinks sweets is science.
With the audition over, Céline and her friends take a bus ride back to Paris. Her friends express remorse towards her destroyed notebook. However, Céline positively believes that not only do the recipes remain in her heart, but she can also make a new one, as well as expressing that she embraces herself for being who she is.
Epilogue
A few years later, Céline has successfully become a sweets scientist, doing an experiment with Dion and other fellow scientists. She then realizes that her pudding is going to overflow and begins to panic.
Personality
Céline is a very shy and gentle person who tends to run away from strangers and gets nervous when she is in the spotlight or around a large number of people. However, she has a great passion for snacks and enjoys learning about the science behind them. She has spent a lot of time studying snack-related books and has become quite knowledgeable.
As a result, she has earned the nickname "Snack Doctor" because she is capable of answering questions about various snacks and determining their effects on the body. When she talks about her favorite topic, she tends to chatter on and on, which has caused her to drive others away in the past. This makes her hesitant to speak up when she is around people she is not familiar with.

- Céline is portrayed by Lizzy Greene who is best known for playing the lead roles of Dawn Harper in the Nickelodeon sitcom, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and Sophie Dixon in the drama series, A Million Little Things. As Frites, her suit actor in the Gavv stock footage is Yuya Nawata (縄田 雄哉, Nawata Yūya).
Etymology
- Frites is the French word for "Fries", though it makes sense as the suit main motif is potato chips.
